Jack Thompson, CEcD
Jack Thompson, Certified Economic Developer and President of Orasi Development, has built a career on solid partnerships and successful ideas. He is an experienced dealmaker with a proven track record of success. In over 15 years of working for municipalities, Thompson attracted nearly 60 million dollars of new investment and development from industries of all types including such notable brands as Kohl's, PetSmart, Michaels, Pier 1, and Linens 'n Things. During his time in both municipal government and in the private real estate industry, Thompson acquired extensive experience in strategic planning, economic development incentive negotiation, Tax Increment Financing, and business attraction.
In 2006, Thompson founded Orasi Development recognizing the need among municipalities of all types and sizes for innovative and affordable economic development services. Since that time, Orasi Development has grown into a full-service economic development firm that provides a broad range of services to cities, non-profits, and private firms throughout the state of Texas. Jack holds a BBA in Marketing from TCU's Neeley School of Business and an MBA from UT Arlington's College of Business Administration.

Drew Martin, Associate AIA
With more than 20 years of commercial real estate and architectural experience, Drew has extensive industry contacts and a firm knowledge of what components go into assembling a deal and seeing the project from inception to completion. Drew began his career with a commercial real estate brokerage firm in Fort Worth, Texas, then went on to work for a prominent architectural firm for the next 16 years. His experiences at the architectural firm included site analysis, design, construction document production, project and client management, and business development.
As Orasi vice president, Drew’s primary responsibilities include facilitating deals between municipalities and developers, retailers and restaurants, and project management and implementation. Drew is active in several professional organizations, including American Institute of Architects, International Council of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute, Fort Worth Real Estate Council, Rotary Club and Vision Fort Worth. Drew has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from UT Arlington and a Master of Architecture from UT Arlington.

R. Lance Reordan, Finance & Accounting
Lance is a highly experienced real estate finance professional who has held several roles in the Treasury and Finance departments of Crescent Real Estate, as well as various financial roles in private real estate development. At Crescent, Lance participated in a wide variety of debt and equity transactions, including a $1.3 billion joint venture with two institutional partners for nine million square feet of office properties, the $6.5 billion sale of Crescent to Morgan Stanley in 2007, and multiple secured and unsecured financing arrangements.
Outside of Crescent, Lance determined the financial viability of development propositions, as well as participating in securing funding and financial incentives. Lance, a Texas CPA, holds a BBA in Accounting from TCU’s Neeley School of Business and an MBA in Finance from SMU’s Cox School of Business.

Paul Sobolak, Demographics/Urban GeographyPaul, a veteran analyst, has consistently established himself as an innovator. While working at Price Waterhouse, for instance, he pioneered the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and has developed automated research tools for retailers such as Lowe's, The Good Guys, Sherwin-Williams, KinderCare, Tractor Supply Co., The Wiz, RentWay, The Home Depot, Cole Vision and Limited Brands, Inc.
Paul's specialized knowledge of retail research techniques, shopping centers, statistics, business geographics and computer programming make it possible for Orasi to offer a variety of sophisticated demographic services. These include as custom software development, rapid database development, database analysis, quick-response retail site evaluation, automated mapping, sales forecasting and expansion strategies. As part of the Orasi team, Paul helps identify prospective retailers. Once identified, we then work with local governments to entice those retailers to develop within a supported development zone.

Jeri Petersen, Communications
Jeri
has an extensive background as a newspaper reporter, editor and
copywriter. Her experience includes covering real estate for the Fort
Worth Business Press during a period of intense economic development
and urban renewal in Fort Worth. Prior to her Business Press tenure,
Jeri worked as a general and public affairs reporter at a community
newspaper in Parker County, Texas, giving her valuable insights into
the inner workings of local government. Between reporting jobs, Jeri
has also worked as a freelance writer/editor/photographer on articles
and ads for newspapers, magazines and corporate publications and as
part of a consultant team for John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. |
